Room 17 Break In

Early Friday morning  Room 17 had some unexpected visitors.  They broke a window and tried to take our smart TV but it slipped out of their hands and smashed.  There was no other damage to our room - they didn't touch any of our work or belongings.

So what did Room 17 do ...

...  we had a fun day in Room 11.

We had a fun morning moving around different activities - sketching, playing with PE equipment, constructing, reading, playing board games, doing jigsaws together and working on the computers and tablets.

Welcome to Room 17

Welcome to Room 17's Blog!

We are a class of 29 Year 4 and 5 children.
This is our blog where we will showcase our work and share our thinking and learning with you.
Please take time to look at our posts and make comments.

ANZAC Day
Last week we learnt about ANZAC Day and why it is important to remember it.  We read stories, watched clips, found out facts and took part in our school ceremony.
We made our own poppies to wear at this ceremony.

We listened to Matt Elliott, the author of “Nice Day for a War”.  He talked to us about his Grandfather who he had based his book on and shared some stories and facts that came from his research.

Take time to look at his site http://www.slane.co.nz/nicedayforawar.html.
